It is always crowded with people from all over Karnataka and India yet there is a breath of fresh air. There will be a lot of fun activities going like paragliding, beach-motor ride, camel-ride, kite flying competition and many more. One of most famous and yet a controversial place recently in Malpe is the St. Mary's Island.  There have been many deaths due to negligence of tourists and less safety measures from the island staffs due to which visits to island were banned for a few months.
