Gadar 2' vs 'OMG 2' box office collections

As we all know two of the most anticipated movies of the year Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar have locked the horns last Friday and both have come out as winners at the box office.


Gadar 2, the newest movie from Sunny Deol, has put the box office on fire as it is anticipated to surpass the Rs 150 crore mark today. Within four days of its release, the movie is thought to have earned Rs 168.18 crore at the domestic box office. Gadar 2 earned Rs. 40.10 crore on its first day of release, Rs. 43.08 crore on its first Saturday, about Rs. 52 crore on its first Sunday and may make about Rs. 33 crore on its first Monday.


According to trade portal Sacnilk, the movie also sold 64,641 tickets on its fifth day, achieving excellent pre booking numbers. On the other hand, the satirical comedy OMG 2 with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi is most likely to surpass the Rs 50 crore threshold today.


It is anticipated that throughout the movie's four-day theatrical run, it earned roughly Rs 54.06 crore. On its first Friday, OMG 2 brought in Rs. 10.26 crore, on its first Saturday, Rs. 15.30 crore, on its first Sunday, about Rs. 17.50 crore, and on its first Monday, it's expected to bring in about Rs. 11 crore.





The focus of Gadar 2 is Tara Singh's efforts to rescue his son Charanjeet "Jeete" Singh and his wife Sakeena and return them to India. The 1971 India-Pakistan war serves as the setting for the movie. Significant characters in the movie are played by Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Luv Sinha, Simratt Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, and Gaurav Chopra.





OMG 2 is on a dissatisfied family guy who, following a personal tragedy, seeks legal intervention to make comprehensive education a requirement. Key characters in the movie are played by Arun Govil of Ramayan fame, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Pavan Malhotra, and Akshay Kumar. On August 11, Gadar 2 and OMG 2 as well as Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar were launched in theatres worldwide.
