Iran - Isarel war, latest news
Iran vs Israel
We all know the tension between Iran and Israel has been in the news for quite a few days now and here is the latest shocking update.
When Iran's ballistic missiles and drones were intercepted on Saturday night, Israel's Iron Dome successfully completed its largest test to yet. This was the first direct military attack by Iran against Israel, intensifying a long-standing enmity that dates back to the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979.
For the past six months, the powerful short-range defense system has been engaged in combat with Hamas, using its strength to repel attacks and deflect incoming drone, cruise missile, and rocket attacks originating from Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.
It tracks rockets and determines which ones are most likely to hit inhabited regions and which ones are not using radar. Only rockets that are anticipated to impact populated areas are targeted by interceptor missiles. Each of the three to four launchers on Iron Dome's batteries, which are dispersed across Israel, can fire up to 20 interceptor missiles. The system is available in mobile and stationary variants.
Since it began operations in 2011, it has destroyed thousands of airborne weapons by detecting incoming rockets, analyzing their direction, and then intercepting them.
Since its development by Israel with US aid after the 2006 Lebanon War, the multibillion-dollar, three-part air defense system has been instrumental in safeguarding Israeli cities for over ten years and is credited with averting significant damage or casualties.
